Not so fast.....

Well... in true terrier fashion, Hugo decided to disprove everything I said in my last post over the past 10 days:

• Beginning the same night I sent the email, he began coming in the house with the other dogs as though he had always done it. We have not had to go and pick him to carry him for anything for over a week. He no longer seems to prefer spending all of his time outside. He now is back to sleeping in his crate in our room every night and he walks in and hops right in there when we say "go to bed".
  
• He has stopped peeing and pooping in his crate. Not ONE crate accident since I hit "send" 10 days ago. And frankly, only one accident in the house since then, none for the last week.
• He has started playing with the other dogs, including a puppy.
• He has started communicating more with us, including barking when he thinks it is his dinner time!
• His tail is UP.
  

I have no explanation for this-- maybe it is his pain medicine helping him to feel so much better?! Maybe he is just really slow to warm up to a new situation? But Hugo is definitely turning things around.
